FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – An angry wife or girlfriend might not be the only thing to worry about when visiting a strip club. A man suing a Pompano Beach club claims a performer's shoe flew off during a pole dance, shattered the mirrored ceiling and caused glass and the shoe to hit him.

The lawsuit filed in Broward County by 35-year-old Charles Privette says the Booby Trap breached its duty when its employee failed to perform her routine in a reasonably safe manner. The suit seeks at least $15,000 in damages.

Privette's attorney says his client suffered a small cut to his eyebrow, headaches and nose bleeds because of the Jan. 14 pole dance. Booby Trap general manager George Gettinger acknowledges paramedics were called but said injuries were minor.

Wow. The Irony in this story would be beyond cheesy if this was a script for something. But it's the real deal.

If I was the club owner I'd just claim it was all part of the act.

This Charles guy went into a strip club called "Booby Trap." Now he's complaining about the down pour of glass shard caused by a strippers shoe. I'd say it was a case of getting what you pay for!

There's a strip joint in my area called T-Barz. It's run by bikers. There's another one called Muggs and Juggs. There's beer and tits. Charles went to the Booby Trap and got owned by a hail storm of glass caused by a stripper.

All I'm trying to say is I think he'd have a stronger argument suing them for false advertising for every time he's ever gone there and something similar didn't happen.

But more importantly what kinda crazy acrobatic Matrix style stripping was that girl doing to cause a shoe to fly off and shatter a ceiling mirror? I think Charles should be so lucky to have witnessed such a thing. But no, he's being very American and suing the the strip joint. Not that it's a bad thing. Let's be honest here I'd sue the crap out of them to. Why not.

Could have been a different story though. I'm positive that if this happened in Canada the guy probably would have appologized for bleeding on their floor, got free drinks for the rest of the night, a VIP lap dance and the next day he would be telling his drinking buddies how he lucked out and got free stuff last night just for having a mirror shatter over him.
